CHRIST’S VICTORY IS YOUR VICTORY

When Jesus came into the world, He didn’t do anything for Himself. All that He did was for you. He didn’t live to please Himself (Romans 15:3). He laid down His life all because of your sins, not because of His own sin. He did no sin the Bible says in 2Corinthians 5:21. It was for you that Jesus did all that he did, not for Himself. Without you, the coming of Jesus Christ into the world would not have been necessary. You made it happen. You made it possible.

Jesus came into the world two thousand years ago. He walked the face of this earth. He was here for you. He was God in human flesh. All His life was a miracle right from His birth into this earth to His ascension into heaven. He was fully human and fully divine. As a man, He lived the heavenly life here on the earth. Also, as a man, He died for our sins. If He were not human, He would not have been able to die for our sins. He became a man just so that He could die for your sins (Hebrews 2:14). During His suffering on the Cross, He had our sins and our iniquities laid upon Him ( 1Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5,6). Though He did no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth and never had He committed any violence  ( 1John 3:5, Isaiah 53:9) yet He suffered on account of our sins (1Peter 2:21). He had our sins, our infirmities, our iniquities, our sicknesses laid upon Him while on that Cross (1Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:6). So, on that Cross, He was a sinner because God laid upon Him the iniquities of us all. So, as a sinner, He died and was taken to hell. Jesus was in hell on account of our sins. Today, no one will go to hell on account of his sin because Jesus has gone to hell on account of the sin of us all. People will only go to hell because of their unbelief in Jesus Christ. When Jesus got to hell, He had a combat with the powers of hell. He destroyed the devil, disarmed principality and powers. He made a public spectacle of them, He triumphed over them in hell (Hebrews 2:14, Colossians 2:15). Jesus has rendered the devil powerless for you. Now the devil has no more power over you. You are now more powerful than the devil because you believe in Jesus Christ. That’s why Jesus said to us in Mark 16:17 that He that believes in Him shall cast out devil. You have the power to cast out devil. He can do nothing to harm you. He is already rendered powerless. How glorious this is. We Christians are the most powerful people on the planet earth simply because we believe in Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul said it this way in his letter to the church at Rome, He said, “Nay in all these things, WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US”. (Romans 8:37). John said it this way…”YE have overcome the wicked one” (1John 2:13,14). He also wrote… “Who is He that overcometh the world, but HE that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God” (1John 5:5). Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? If you do, then you have overcome the world. Believe this. Believe it with all your heart. This is true because JESUS did it for you through His death on the Cross of Calvary.

CONFESSION

I believe in the victory that Jesus won for me . I receive it into my heart. Now I walk in victory over the negative and evil forces of this world. I am never disadvantaged in anything. I am more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. I am an overcomer in Christ Jesus

I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ was wounded for me. I believe He died for me and now He’s risen for my sake. I receive Him into my life to be my Lord and Savior now and forever more.
