JESUS WAS WOUNDED
But He was wounded for OUR transgressions, He was bruised for OUR iniquities: the chastisement of OUR peace was upon Him; and with His stripes WE are healed. Isaiah 53:5
Jesus was wounded. He was wounded for your transgressions. He
was wounded for my transgressions. He was wounded for the sins of you and me. He
was wounded, not for His own sin because He did no sin, neither was guile found
in His mouth (1Peter 2:22). He didn’t commit any crime. He was found with no
offence. But for the sins of you and me, He was wounded. He was the One who got
the wound, not you. He got the wound due to your sins upon Himself. He got it
just so that you will not have to get it. He took the punishment for your sins.
This just means that you have been punished for your sins. You were wounded for
your transgressions through Him. And notice, this took place in the past. Meaning,
it’s a bygone. Now you can rejoice and give thanks to Him for all that he has
done for you, that is, on your behalf. This is God’s love for you in expression
through the suffering of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ for you on the
Cross of Calvary. Praise God.
RECEIVE JESUS NOW
Say this and mean it with all you heart before God:
I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ was wounded for
me. I believe He died for me and now He’s risen for my sake. I receive Him into
my life to be my Lord and Savior now and forever more.
Congratulations to
you. You can write me through this blog and I could share with you on how you
can grow in your daily walk with Jesus Christ. God bless you.
